The One Time Mountain Years

2013-2015

One Time Mountain was formed in the fall of 2012 when I moved from NY to the Boston area and met Lead Guitarist Brian K. Murphy. Brian and I had both come from former bands and were ready to start a new rock project. Brian had written the Window Shaded EP already at that time and I quickly leant by vocals to the tracks.

The name One Time Mountain comes directly from a lyric in the Red Goodbye song “Nothing To Come Back To”. The song uses the analogy of a once strong and solid mountain being blown apart by dynamite. “There's a highway now, in and out, of your one-time mountain.”

Between 2013 and 2015, OTM released three EPs, recorded five music videos and played many local venues including opening for Buck Cherry. After leaving the band, Brian carried on the name and released two more albums with new lead singer Alex Nekrylau. One Time Mountain remains an active band led by Brian K. Murphy.
