Red Goodbye was formed sometime in 2006 during my sophomore year at SUNY Oneonta in Upstate New York when I met fellow music industry major Alex Ruimy. We quickly bonded over our mutual love for Creed and modern rock. Alex was instrumental in helping to bring to life many songs that I had written but not yet arranged. Alex added brilliantly to my songs and brought them from demos to finished products. I also sang lead vocals on many songs that Alex had written and composed himself.

The name Red Goodbye came from a demo song I wrote “RadioTower” using the analogy of the red blinking lights atop a radio tower sending out a “red goodbye”. The demo was never finished and the name “RadioTower” became the title of our one and only EP. The imagery of the radio towers was also used on the album art. A second EP was in the works with a handful of finished songs but ultimately was never officially published. If you search Spotify under Andrew James Horn you will see that I have compiled “almost” every Red Goodbye songs that we created together under one album “The Red Goodbye Years 2006-2016.”

Our claim to fame was when Alex uploaded our RadioTower EP onto torrent download sites like The Pirate Bay under the disguise of Creed’s 2009 reunion album called “Full Circle.” Creed fans were not impressed with the band’s new material which was a stroke of fortune for us as many who mistakenly downloaded our music were pleasantly surprised and quickly became fans. To this day we have worldwide listeners and interact with fans of the music from Chile to South Africa, Australia and beyond.
